"Analysis of Web Content Delivered to a Mobile Computing Environment"

Craigslist is the modern equivalent of the old online bulletin board systems. It is simple in design, almost rather plain with a monochromatic color scheme. It is nothing much more than a simple HTML table, really. And it is completely unusable for the mobile user. Yes, there is a design structure visible, and that is really all it has going for it. Even in landscape orientation the text and links are too small to be easily read or selected. I have heard in passing that the founder of Craigslist was rather happy with the design, wanting to keep it simple while concentrating on the content and the online community. This is fine, but in some respects it wouldn’t take much to make Craigslist mobile friendly.
