About the Author

Anthony Lerner holds a B.A. in English and Communication, with a minor in Women, Gender, and Sexuality studies and a certificate in Professional Writing and Technical Communication, graduating magna cum laude from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Now working as a Research Associate for Smarty Pants, a market research agency, Anthony has an interest in Asian American studies, critical race studies as a whole, gender studies, and the power of media representation. Writing this article originally as a senior capstone thesis, Anthony is excited to share these insights with Xchanges and the world at large.
