About the Author
Melissa Bugdal graduated with a BA in English from Wilkes University in May 2009. She became interested in the field of composition and rhetoric after working for several semesters in the Wilkes University Writing Center as a Peer Consultant and Writing Mentor. After completing a writing practicum course which focused on topics in composition, Melissa decided to continue her work by writing her senior undergraduate capstone project on the same topic. With the help of her project advisor and mentor, Dr. Janet Starner, Melissa examined the crossroads between the act of writing in the English and Biology departments. Melissa is currently applying to graduate schools.
