About the Author
Jainab Tabassum Banu (she/her) a PhD candidate and graduate teaching assistant in the Department of English at North Dakota State University, with experience in tertiary-level teaching, research, and writing. She is a multidimensional scholar with a primary focus on feminist disability studies and life writing. Complementing this, she has a strong secondary focus on AI and writing instruction, where she examines how emerging technologies shape and enhance equitable pedagogical practices. As a bilingual writer, researcher, columnist and poet, she contributes to sociocultural and educational conversations through various platforms. Her teaching philosophy centers on using rhetorical expertise to empower students and bridge the gap between expert and non-expert communities.
