Samantha Gowdey is currently an undergraduate student at Rhode Island College with a passion for writing. She wrote this article during her junior year of college after her discovery of the power that rhetoric holds. Majoring in secondary education with a concentration in English, Samantha hopes to one day become a high school English teacher and make a difference in her students’ lives.
