to Issue 3 of Xchanges, an online journal produced in conjunction
with the annual Y|X Conference of Wayne State University's American
Studies Program and the Y|X Project. The present issue is the Proceedings
from the March 2002 conference and here you will read a selection

and Graduate students from a variety of disciplines, on the theme
